Re: Moulds Davrian Mk5

Go to Tim at Darrian Cars who will have suitable moulds and expertise including ability for one off http://www.darrian.co.uk/index.html
Isn’t the car light enough, has it got a rally weight layup?
Have fun

Re: Davrian Mk5 For Sale

Steve, My Mk8 monocoque is very lightweight with outer panels easily deflected by a push from your little finger, so to achieve a decent and long lasting finish is extremely difficult,a few more rattle cans might improve it! It was built as a track car, I made it road legal with lights, hand brake e...

Re: Davrian Mk5 For Sale

Hi Steve, I believe this car went for £2800 + auction costs I have it on good authority that it went to a Scottish gentleman who previously owned a very early Davrian with removable hardtop, he attended at least one of the Longleat events. I know he also has a Rochdale Olympic, another fibreglass mo...

Re: Mk 8 Perspex headlamp covers

It might be worth trying to contact 'matnrach' a member on here, I believe he made his own for his Mk8?

Re: Mini based davrian

Sorry I haven't got a Mini engined car for sale although I do know of two here in the Devon/Dorset Area! As you will be aware there were only a few originally made with Mini engines and some of those have now been converted to other engines, so they are nearly like " rockinghorse poo" . So...

Re: Davrian register VKM180H

Hi Richie, I think you had a slip of the digit, your Mk8 was originally owned by the late Rob Barkesfield and was a great car having been further modified by Tony Freeman before your ownership. I was very sad to hear of your loss of the car after having travelled on the road in it with Rob in about ...

Re: Davrian trailing arm pivot brackets

I would think the main thing to do at both front and rear would be to set up with a little toe in initially with maybe 1/2 degree negative camber ( you certainly don't want too much camber on the front because it will go more negative under braking anyway). I'm certainly no expert, you will probably...

Re: Davrian trailing arm pivot brackets

Hi Chris,
I think you may need to use shims between the brackets and the monocoque, in fact you will probably need to do this to get the geometry correct, particularly the toe in. Your car is looking very interesting and should perform very well with that powerunit.

Re: 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Davrian marque

It will be good to celebrate 50 years and get a good gathering of Davrians. John were you intending to just have an informal gathering, or register as a club display, looking at the CC website suggests that club displays are only for rally type cars? (Yes I know some Davrians are rally cars but the ...
