Re: Mk6 in Jersey

The tablet has a micro usb that goes just under where you see the samsung logo out of sight behind the fascia. It only charges when the ignition is on but the tablet will stay charged for at least 2-3 weeks between charges. The tablet comes on whenever it detects a charge which is default android be...

Re: Steering column?

And here's where it finally ended up, really nice to drive now with the wheel in this position. Nearly vertical and coming from the centre of the dash. Much more legroom and control when driving

Re: Mk6 in Jersey

I've been working on a fully digital dashboard. I'm really happy with the result, it's been the cause of a few late nights figuring out mainly how to use PhotoShop to chop up the photographed images of the Stiletto clocks. 20180303_164541451_iOS.jpg Here's a couple of videos of it in action: https:/...

Re: Determining Actual WOT of TB's and its application.

good thinking and I'm certain it's right as your graphs prove. One thing that occurs to me on my 28/36 inlet with the throttle at 90 degrees to the inlet ports, maybe my setup will flow better with the throttle half open than full because the angle of the butterfly is pointing air into the inlet tra...

Re: Fuel Injection build.

I've not had to use damper myself, it seems ok with just the small chamber in the 28/36 manifold that I've got (which must be about 200cc chamber) and some MAP averaging in the Megasquirt code. Charlie, your injectors sound pretty good if they are from a 600cc engine. Are you running 1 or 2 squirts ...

Re: Fuel Injection build.

Looks really nice work there Charlie. Is there any way you can get MAP based in there at all with the ITBs? With megasquirt you can do blended. Have you got a reference pressure for you FPR? I guess not on the basis of the ITB part. You mention using a fuel pump to return to the tanks, mine just ret...

Where would this theoretically be with an imp setup then? I've tried to replay the description in my head but failed on three occasions!

Re: Engine mount ala Porsche

The left and right hand sides are rose jointed to the block to prevent any rocking so the plate stays exactly in the same place WRT the engine. The right hand rose joint you can see dropping vertically is an unrelated one holding the silencer up whilst allowing the pipes to grow with turbo heat. I t...

Re: Engine mount ala Porsche

It would be interesting to take a look inside an imp engine and think about what's best. The setup I'm running is one of the biggest mods I've ever driven in an imp variant. If anyone has driven a Lotus Elise, this is the feeling you get through your seat. It's only when the imp slip is gone you rea...

Re: Engine mount ala Porsche

Just one Porsche required as there are two of these mounts in every porker engine bay! I've been up and running again recently with it after a long period in the garage moving the steering column up and into the scuttle instead of between the pedals. It really is like a different car to drive now, f...
