At the last count my Mk6 was just about 550kg with a couple of gallons of fuel in the tanks.

Yes I should have said Mk6 in South West Wales! I think it will be a couple of race meetings at Pembrey with the WRDA series. 750 MC are also coming down in September and they seem to have a number of championships that the car would be eligible for ( if not particualrly competitive in). Hi Dave I got a really nice pre-engaged starter from Luke Motorsport - see www.lukemotorsport.co.uk for stockists. They also do a neat alternator with a range of pulley diameters available. No problems with bevel on ring gear teeth being on the wrong side - Evidently some engines don't have them bev...
