Re: Mk8 Dragon clutch release arrangement
Thanks Dave, This was just my guess at the setup using the parts I found in one of the boxes of bits, I've now found the push rod too. As I've got several old Ford BC gearboxes lying around I'm just going to make a new arm and weld it onto a shaft from one of those (easier than modifying the adjusta...

Mk8 Dragon clutch release arrangement
Does anyone know what the clutch arrangement was on the Davrian (mk8) Dragon with transverse XR2 gearbox?
I seem to be either missing the correct release arm or have the slave cylinder & bracket mounted in the wrong place (Unfortunately I got the car in bits & without engine / gearbox).

Re: Davrian trailing arm pivot brackets
Yeah, I was wondering if I might have to use shims to get the geometry right. Are there any recommended settings for the the geometry as a starting point?
Thanks, I'm certainly hoping so. I'm hoping to try & get it on the road for the 50th anniversary meet next year if possible.

Re: Engine change Mk8
Here's some photos of the engine bay in my Davrian Dragon (mk8a), this was originally fitted with a 1.6 CVH out of an XR2, unfortunately this had long since gone when I acquired it. I'm currently in the process of fitting a 2.0 Zetec Blacktop to it, but even with the modified trailing arms (as was f...

Davrian trailing arm pivot brackets
Does anyone now if there's a specific order the trailing arm mounting brackets fit on a Davrian Dragon (mk8a)?
I've tried all sorts of combinations but none seem to align fully on order to put the bolt through without force.

Re: Fuel tank access / fitting fuel system for injection
Thanks, I'd definitely prefer to avoid having to go to the extremes of cutting the tanks out if can avoided. I think I now hove a potential solution for the fuel return using the existing breather pipe and fitting a new breather in the filler neck. image.jpg image.jpg Regarding a fuel gauge; using a...

Re: Fuel tank access / fitting fuel system for injection
Thanks Dick, Looks like as I suspected, it's a case of cutting through the fiberglass securing the arches to the wings, and going from there. Now do I really want that fuel gauge or should I put the return through the filler neck &'make do with a stick? Lol Re. Meet; Yeah, if you let me know whe...

Re: Fuel tank access / fitting fuel system for injection
Hi Robin, Thanks for both the welcome and the info. I've just had a look at that article, unfortunately still needs a return line from the swirl pot to the tank, what Dave describes is actually the same basic setup I run on my other toy (a robinhood 2b running a 1.6 zetec SE on throttle bodies). I a...

Fuel tank access / fitting fuel system for injection
I've just bought a mk8 davrian & am looking to fit fuel injection, unfortunately as it currently has no return fuel line to the tank, I need access to the tank to fit the return lines & hopefully fuel gauges of some kind at the same time. What is the best way to get to the fuel tanks? & ...
