I found this video from last year.
Boost gone up considerably since then though (hence gasket failure) - Must get it fixed

Re: Orange Mk6
I thought I recognised the number plate. I found an article from an old kit car magazie about the car. Just in case you weren't aware here it is: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/matnrach/davkit1110.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/matnrach/davkit2111.jpg Looks a bit different now!

Re: My mk5
Are you using those wheels/tyres?
They are very low profile for such a light car

Re: Mk8 A series
I guess you could engineer a Wills ring or another kind of sealing ring arrangement but it blew because there was insufficient clamping on the rear cylinder. The extra stud should cure it fine as long as I don't keep putting up the boost!

Re: Mk8 A series
Oops!
Too much boost and I have just blown the head gasket.
I will do an 11 stud head conversion but it will have to wait a bit as I'm currently doing loads of jobs on my '72 Scimitar.

I guess it depends on condition and spec.

Re: Master cylinders
Hi Dave,
All 3 of the cylinders are Girling part number 310360 which is 0.625" bore.
I have converted my old Triumph calipers to Wilwoods to save weight and they work fine.
