Steering column?
Does everyone else have their Davrian steering column between the brake and the clutch? Is there any other option to route it a bit more north so driving is a bit more comfortable?
Cheers

Re: Disc Brakes???
I made my own and I'd say £175 is excellent value. It took me days to produce front and rear brackets and modify the discs.

Re: Disc Brakes???
I filed out the fiesta holes to match the right PCD but use a 1mm additional strip welded to the hub to centre them properly.

Re: vibrations/noise
so in order to be scientific about this I've ordered a cheap decibel meter from Ebay which has a DC output of 0-1.3v representing 30-130 dBA which I can connect through my MS3X generic input board and datalog using Megasquirt. This will then let me do a scatter plot heat map of decibels vs engine lo...

Re: Disc Brakes???
I use fiesta front and Granada rear callipers. Both pretty common and the rears have a cable operated handbrake which works on the disc not a mini drum brake. From there I just use fiesta discs all round. Perfectly good braking. Only improvement would be to brace the pedal box a bit for more feel, I...

Re: vibrations/noise
Thanks very much Nugget, the Davrian is in fact my first ever car too since it started life out as a Sunbeam Stiletto which rusted away finally and I bought what my father in law referred to for many years as a chicken coup (aka a knackered Mk3 Dav!). I've recently been inspired by a few of the Davr...

Re: vibrations/noise
I suppose one question would be has anyone sat in a quiet Davrian? A running one! I don't think tyre noise is the issue as when coasting if I flick the engine off it all goes quiet as you'd expect.

Re: Davrian Mk3 1968
Absolutely stunning work! My Mk3/6 is pretty well identical in many places. Did you replace the tanks in the end? Mine were porous. How are you planning on hanging the engine? I dislike the connection of the engine hanger to the ARB, what are your thoughts? Almost all cars are already down this road...

Re: Mk3/6 for sale
Update, I decided to hang onto the Davrian. I've had this for umm a long time now and can't hope to get a return on the investment. So time to make it more of a friendly daily driver instead...
