Re: Mk1 Davrian

Phil, I've always found DVLA ok when dealing with registration of classics that have dropped off the radar in the past. My own Mk1 had been in Holland for 30 years but now has its original reg ERA 5H back. You must have a strong case with ETE as it's so well documented being used in adverts and broc...

Re: Mk1 Davrian

Hi Phil,

Great to have you on board and with such a special early car!. Photos are required immediately!!.
I have a very early car myself so we will have to compare notes as i'm trying to get it back to original as possible.

Re: found on ebay!

I think you should bid for it Jeremy, you could race Dad round chichester bypass!.

Bodywork looks very straight with good panel fit, are those Puma headlights?.

Re: Davrian Mk3 1968

Well seeing as you've asked!:D. Earlier Davrians say pre Mk7 had a very suptle body shape made up of a set of simple curves, i think any add ons should reflect this and the cover for the door/side vent should be much closer to the body line following the curve from door top to lower sill. The mk8/Dr...

Re: Davrian Mk3 1968

I've been watching Nathan disassemble his car on the Mad mechanics forum and found it so interesting to be able to veiw inside all the sections to see how they were put together. My Mk1 is very similar but has more plywood used in the rear bulkheads, i doubt that any two early cars were the same wit...

Re: Brighton Speed Trials under threat

The petition seems to have worked.

Will be interesting to see what the "amendments" will be though.

Re: screen

Pilkington had a stand at the NEC show and can supply most classic screens, i was asking about a new early spitfire screen for the Mk6.

Re: Fitting a BMW K1200 engine....

With many bike engines finding their way into small kit cars i wondered if you have to alter cam timing or such to pull the torque curve lower down the rev range due to gearing and extra weight?.

Re: Davrians on Flickr

Just looking through the pics that Dick found, there are some of an early Davrian (white with stripes) quite badly damaged whilst on a Le mans visit.
I've seen these before, anyone know what actually happened and did the car survive?.
