Best to get the hard work done now,we are trying to tie the front coil overs and the front pick ups as one,to stop flex.
We have had to weld big steel plates to the rear cage, the cage right by the engine,so the rear coil overs / top mounts can be made stronger,+ the engine should stay in, even tied the gearbox to part of the roll bar,on small rubber mounts.
I can now sit in the car with room above my helmet,in the motordrive pro 2 seats, feels great, with the round tops to the wings i can even see the front of the car.
I would love to have most of the hard work done in 4-6 weeks.
All the best.

Nice work Dean, keep at it!. It's difficult to keep the impetus going on these cars as you find more and more stuff to do as you go along!.
Reading back you say that there will be problems with the seat regulations, could you explain more what this is about?.

When i say seat problems,i mean with the MSA for stage rallying, if your seats are out of FIA date you will need a new pair, thing is no one makes a seat as yet, or no one has come forward with a suitable seats as yet,i light to sit quit upright but these cars are so low slung i had to make a new part floor ,as i had to make the mold i decided to make the inner sills with a little less radius, the same with the tunnel , this means i can use almost any seat, and get it upright.
It will be worth it once i get out on the stages.
All the best Dean :)

Well weeks later and its in primer.
had to make new door hinges, new bonnet pin set up,re fiberglass the front lower panel as it had been cut from the car !!
It took 2 days to make a headlight moulds then set them in the wings, then another day to shape the wing tops.
She will be all ready next wednesday ,dream on.Please note the doors are open and the bonnet isnt pushed down,it does all fit very well, all the gaps are a bit bigger than you may want on a road car but as its going to be a stage rally car i dont want it to all look good then hit / chip all the corners on the first event.

You are so right about the face,we took my 5 and 8 year old boys to see the movie cars 2 last weekend ,then they have been helping do the car this week, and both said it has a happy face , how come they saw it as well and i didnt !!
As for coulour if you take a S2000 fabia IRC rally car,but use yellow, blue, black stripe white roof and spare wheel part of the bonnet and a small hint of green your there ,i no it sounds a bit much but when done it will look like its doing 200 mph standing still , so if its no good as a rally car it will scare the competition.
With my new 225bhp B16B sat in the workshop waiting for its first outing i have to get it home and built her up.I hope it will be built in about 4 weeks.
Will post more pictures next week. :D
