Hi their im new to the forum i have just bught the mk 8 race car ex harry simpson
thought id say hello great to have a davrian again ive just found this forum and it was great to se my old mk 8 rally car
is still alive the yellow and blue one
any way i bought the car with the intetion of fitting a bike engine but after a long conversation with tim today im in two minds
i would hate to butcher such a nice car im going to hill climb it sprints ect would be nice to hear a few peoples opinions

I have a Mk 6 to restore (for road going) use and am working through a similar dilema - to stick with Imp basics or convert the running gear to something modern and supportable. Is it still a Davrian then????
I guess the answer for you depends on the class you wish to compete in and what the regulations permit and how much work you want to do. In your position with a (presumably) successful racer I would be tempted to stick with a well developed and proven car and just go out and enjoy it!
