Re: door bars on my MK8
My Mk8 does not have door bars, and all the 'standard' Mk8s that I have seen did not have door bars.BUT as we all know every Davrian is different and obviously many have been modified over the years. My brother's Mk 7 has small diameter bars if I remember correctly, but then that was a very much raced and modified car.
Why not contact Tim at Darrian cars, he'll be able to give you all the details.

Re: door bars on my MK8
Hi Dean,
The Davrian on the Castaldini site is mine, It was a race car which i am converting to a rally car. We fitted the door bars to the cage ourselves as there were none orginally fitted, We have a Darrian rallycar and just copied the placement of the bars fitted to that.
Regards,
Maurice

Re: door bars on my MK8
Thanks for the pictures,i have just had a pair made up,we are fitting them this week,38mm CDS.
Be good to have a few of us out on the stages.
It takes for ever sorting all the jobs,it would have helped if the car had been put togeather right in the first place !!!
1 step forward ect.
Seats are the biggest problem,T9 and Davrians will all have problems from next year if there current seats run out of FIA date,Tim is looking into it.
Thanks Dean.

Re: door bars on my MK8
Still hard at it !!
New door bars in,new GRP part floor in ,head lights now round well not far off.
It all take so long, but best to get it some where near right now, then the development can be done as we rally.

Re: door bars on my MK8
Looking good Dean! Floor looks the business, the only way i could sit in the car was without any seats! and then my two boys had to get in the passengers side and push me out!! I could see when i had it that things had not been done very well, and this was for a lad to get his degree in Swansea Institute!! But all the pain now will be worth while when its together and doing the business on the stages!
Keep smiling, Darren
