Chassis 4033

Post by Gerry »

mk4 Davrian, chassis 4033, left the factory in 1969, first registered 1971, off the road since 1991, in my ownership since 2006, finally got the restoration in progress.

I decided that there just aren't enough bright green Davrians in the world, hence....

Bodywork and paint by Impspeed, for whom I used to hillclimb and sprint Imps a few years back. I've owned, raced or driven some brill Imps, G15s, Clans and even a spaceframe racer, but still not driven a Davrian yet, ever!

Work, family and other commitments have taken me away from cars in the last couple of years, but should soon be back on the road. Really good to discover this forum, looking forward to good discussions. Suspension setup and wheel alignment are my specialities, so will be fun setting up the Davrian when I get to that point.

Cheers

Great colour, as far as I'm concerned, What colour is it?

I've always had green on all my competion cars, even down to internal mirror and the ashtray on a pre-66 Imp.

Hi Steve,

It's Porsche Conda Green, as used on early 911 Carreras - further proof that my Davrian is a cheaper substitute for the 911 I could never afford to run!

Hi Gerry,

that's why I thought it was good. I always liked Porsche's & the Ford Daytona Yellow colour.
