I've finally bought another one.
This Ford engined Hewland gearboxed car was once a lightweight racer, then a heavyweight rallycar, then intermittently dieted back to halfway in between as a sprint and hillclimbing car.
Its now partly restored and I've taken it on, planning to take it back on track with a 1700 all steel crossflow [yet to be found!] and a hewland gearbox. Its sits a bit squiffy at the moment as you'll see below. So I'm going to learn about suspension next...

Re: Mark 8
Congratulations.
That should be pretty quick when it's finished - will it be road legal so you can drive to The Pitstop Cafe for a future gathering?

Re: Mark 8
Its now running. Managed 40+ reliable laps at Mallory which is satisfying.
Now have a revised jobs list before it runs in anger ...
Thanks to Lee of Leicester Photography for the action shot.

Re: Mark 8
Iain, you little tinker! Nice job mate. Good to see you back in a Davrian. How is it for you getting back into one? There is a track day at Lydden towards the end of this month. What's the chances of you doing a few laps?
