She runs!

Although just sprung an oil leak from where the oil filter housing mates to the block. Will need to make up a gasket tomorrow and reseal it.

Getting closer to the MOT next week but still much to do!

The bike exhaust sounds sweet to the ear...although it will probably make me deaf after a few miles.

Oil filter housing gasket fitted which has stopped the leak!

Bodywork back on and lights tested - everything works, including the indicators, hazards, side lights, brake lights and number plate light - just as well 'cos I don't have any time left to rectify anything else.

Front bodywork tomorrow night leaving a day of grace for any last minute things before the MOT on Wednesday.

Very well done Cliff, amazing what one can achieve when there's a deadline!.

Thanks again for the spare stub axle by the way, all cleaned, painted, new pin and bushes. I'm still fussing over my MK4 like a mother hen ready for the 300ml round trip to the combe!.

Cheers,

Dave.

Looking good, the oil filter even matches the colour of the car ;)

Front end bolted back together.

MOT now Thursday afternoon as the garage couldn't fit me in on Wednesday. Leaves very little time to rectify anything if it fails.

Oh, and I need to insure it - anyone recommend a company, preferably one that has heard of a Davrian!

I use Adrian Flux but I'm not sure that is the wisest choice
