Mk3/6 for sale

Post by edgedj »

Hello,

My early chassis number Davrian which has been restored and resprayed is not doing enough miles under my ownership anymore. As such I'm going to sell it. I haven't had chance to consider value as yet but please get in touch if this is something of interest to anyone looking for a Davrian. Some rough specs:

Restored gearbox some 2/3 years ago only 1-2k miles
Rebuilt 998 engine by Andy Jones, with R17 cam
Megasquirt fuel injection
Davrian centre console dashboard
New roll hoop
13" alley cat wheels and new tyres (1-2 years old)
Currently Jersey registered but I have the v5

PS - I'm willing to drive it one way to a destination in the UK as a final farewell trip!

I'm going to list there car locally in jersey for £8k which is probably about half the sum of the parts but I have to be realistic about the market. Some things not covered in the original list:

New ALU fuel tanks from Tim Duffee's friend
AN6 fuel lines with integral filter
Working fuel gauge
Ford discs all round with adjustable bias bar twin master cylinders, cable hand brake
Front rad with kenlowe fan
Engine CR is 9:1 as it previously had a turbo fitted
Matched set of denso high accuracy injectors
Cream vinyl seats (new shells from Tim in 2005ish)
Coilover adjustable Gaz shocks all round
New windscreen
Modern seatbelts

Anyone here interested?

sure, the dashboard is new from Tim Duffee about 2-3 years ago and the seats are the same age.

investment would be a tough call, I think their size restricts future market price as you do have to be slim of waist to get in easily (tall is ok however). I think however you are right on the special angle. I love the fact you can jack up any corner and the whole side rises, they are so rigid it's unbelievable. My car has been restored over more than 10 years now and I can provide a few hundred (if not thousand!) photos of all the work undertaken. The interior has all the right bits to be correct but just needs completion with carpeting and headlining etc. I originally bought it because I loved the Motalita steering wheel - well nearly :-)

In terms of creature comforts there is no heater (but you could fit one) and the stalks are from a modern VW Golf MK IV so they work as you'd expect with self cancelling, indicators on the left plus flash on the left stalk and horn on the right.

Cheers

Update, I decided to hang onto the Davrian. I've had this for umm a long time now and can't hope to get a return on the investment. So time to make it more of a friendly daily driver instead...
