Track day prep - Davrian mk6

I'm off to France for a track day at Le Mans in a month's time and the list of things to do is quite large before then. One of them is making the car a bit more hospitable for the 100+ miles each way from St Malo to Le Mans. I'm re-installing my turbo setup which has the turbo on the left of the engine and I'm thinking of running a slim silencer inside the bodywork along the back to exit in the usual position on the right hand side. Has this been done before? will it melt my bodywork? I guess a bit of heat shielding will be needed. I'll post some pictures of the prep as it goes...

Earplugs work very well, the yellow ones are best. Good luck at Le Mans.
