Hi folks,
Over the winter months I will be fuel injecting the 1040 engine, the system I
am using is Mega squirt 2 and a Honda cbr 600rr throttle body. It will be
interesting when finished to put it on the rolling road and see the difference
to the webber set up. If any bodies intested the webbers are for sale but not
the manifold, just send a pm and I will fill in the details.
Have a great 2016.
Dave

Hi Dave,

I'd be interested in how you get on with your injection conversion because I will be doing the same this winter on my 1040 with race head and R20 Cam.

Most of the hardware has been built, Megasquirt 2 ECU, Wiring loom, inlet manifold (see pic) with Triumph TT600 throttle bodies, the swirlpot and HP fuel pump are to be finalised.

I have an ignition map taken off my Ex luminition programmable ignition, do you have an initial Fuel map?

By the way, this engine gave 72 bhp at 7200 revs at the flywheel on a rolling road with twin 1.5" Strombergs

regards Charlie

Hi
Please excuse the shameless plug (I work at Webcon, but don't tell anyone, or everyone will be hounding me for some DCOE's! ;) ) I'm not in sales, or technical, so please don't ask.

However, I thought this swirlpot and pump might be of interest, please visit the shop below:

That's pretty cool Graham. Do you pump into it or does it gravity feed only? Davrian tanks are pretty low at the bottom and I'm not sure if we have anywhere low enough to fit this if it's gravity feed only.

Cheers

Yes you pump into it, Dave.

Keep your low pressure pump, to pump from the original tank into the swirlpot, and then the high pressure pump included in the swirlpot pumps to the fuel injection set up.

Cheers

Do you return from the fuel rail into it also then? How do you avoid it going too high pressure in the swirl pot if so.

As I said on my post, I'm afraid I'm not in technical, so slightly out of my comfort zone now  . If you wanted to drop an email to Webcon, I'm sure someone in sales can sort out a sensible reply for you.
